Like all report setup windows in CDM+, the bottom portion of the report setup window is used to define the appearance of the report. Along with the usual, General and Page Setup panes (which are covered in the Fundamentals of CDM+ manual section, custom reports throughout CDM+ have a Custom Listing Columns pane. Items found here primarily determine how the report appears, but there are a few options, in addition to selecting, adding or modifying a set, that affect content also.
Background Striping: You can choose to print background striping on alternating lines of the Custom Listing. Check Show Striping to turn this feature on. To select the striping color, click the Color box and choose a color from the color palette.
Report Title: You can give the report a custom title by entering it in the Report Title field.
Pivot: Checking the Pivot box changes the report format from the default of records shown in columns across the page to a numbered list of each record as shown below. Note that Background Striping is not available in this format.
Page by Record: Check this box to insert a page break after each record in the listing report.
Print Counts Only: If you only want a count of how many results will print on the custom listing, check Print Counts Only. If you use subtotaling on the report (see the Sorting Custom Listings section), the custom listing report will become a summary report and give you totals by subtotal fields. This feature can be used to see how many members you have in each city, for example, or how your contributions are given in terms of payment type.
Force Columns to fit on 1 page: By default, the custom listing will size the column to fit the data being printed. This may cause the listing to print off the page. To keep the report on one page, check the option to Force Columns to fit on 1 page. This option is used in conjunction with the Width option on the Modify Custom Listing Sets window (see above for help using the Widths window).
Horizontal Divider: If you’d like to print a divider line between rows on the listing, check Horizontal Divider and click the small box nex to it to select a line style. Line styles range from thick to hairline and solid, dotted or dashed.
Blank line between results: If you want a blank line separating each result on the report, check Blank line between results.
Address under column 1: Checking this box will print the address under the whatever field you specified to be in the first column. You do not need to have included the Address Block or other address fields in the set.
Click the Choose Sort Fields button to open a window where you can define the sort order of the records.
